Old & Empty

This is another shot that I got on the “photo walk”. I love these old, empty, run-down buildings. So much character & stories behind them.

Historic Tennessee Brewery

This is a shot of the the front gate to the old, historic Tennessee Brewery in downtown Memphis. It opened in 1890 & closed in 1954. Has been sitting there empty ever since. It’s up on the bluff & overlooks the Mississippi River.

Come check out New Era Photographers on Facebook.

Black N White Wednesdays (Week 20)

It’s hard to believe that this is week 20 of my little feature. It’s been really cool & fun though. This is an old boarded up & empty building I shot a while ago & turned it to B/W for this week. These old abandoned buildings are cool in B/W. I guess it wad some kind of country store. Have a great day. You can buy this by clicking on the link to the right.

Black N White Wednesdays (Week 12)

As I promised…here is the same building from yesterday in black n white. I like it better…which do you like? Enjoy your weeks.

Little Old Shed

This little thing needs some help huh? These old buildings sure do look sharp through the camera though. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Black N White Wednesdays (Week 3)

This was taken at the same spot I got the manure spreader picture from. It’s just another building off to the side of the bigger ones. Hope you all like it.

This Old Shack (Part 3)

This is part 3 of this series (only one left). This is from the other side of this building…I’m guessing the front since it faces the farm field? I’m saying it’s been here for a long time huh?

This Old Shack (Part 2)

I sharpened & lightened this one up some with my Paint Shop Pro program. This is the first picture that I have messed with. Still trying to learn how to do all of this. It’s still kinda dark, but before you could hardly see the ceiling at all & the chimney was too dark. I tried a little more & it washed it out too much.

This Old Shack (Part 1)

I got these over the weekend & am gonna start posting them one at a time as seperate posts or more than one in a post. I’m not gonna insert the gallery anymore like the previous ones where it puts the “thumbnails” side by side…have been having trouble with your comments that way for some reason. When you click on one of the thumbnails to enlarge it, the title becomes “Olympus Digital Camera” instead of the actual post title. When some of you have commented from that, in my “dashboard” it says that you left the comment on “Olympus Digital Camera” & then doesn’t show up & I can’t even read it all. Hope this fixes it even though I do like the gallery look of the post. This will be the first one in this series from this old shack. This was the front..one in color & one in black n white. Not sure what this place was…almost looked like it was an old house…there was a chimney in the middle of it. It had a dirt floor, but that means nothing as old as it looks. This was the first one of these that I was actually able to get into.
