Just Some Monkeygrass

Took this a while back at my mom’s & didn’t really like it. I have since changed it to black n white & like it a little better now. Hope you all had a good weekend. I didn’t….my Grizzlies lost twice & those sorry Giants won the Super Bowl…..lol

Black N White Wednesdays (Week 4)

This is the same trailer from “Compare These Two”, you have seen it straight from the camera, with contrast & brightness added in color, & so now I figured you might like it in black n white.

Black N White Wednesdays (Week 2)

By now, you all know how much I like these old buildings. There are so many around here too…still a bunch that I haven’t even shot yet. Hopefully I will never run out of them. Just love thinking of all the history or trying to figure out how old they are. I did add some contrast & played with the brightness some. I know there are some really dark spots like the roof, but I like that with this particular building. Not sure what it was, but it’s kinda “L” shaped & sits right beside a little bitty used car dealer. Hope you all like this one as much as I do.

Cotton Hauler Part 2

This one was sitting right beside the one from yesterday. There wasn’t much color in it because of all the rust so I changed it over to black n white. I know if I keep posting all these black n whites..it kinda messes up my Wednesday feature…but they look so much better than the color version sometimes. Enjoy.

No Color Lights

I took this at my mom’s over the Holidays. It was part of her Christmas decorations. I took it to black n white to see how it looked taking the bright colors out. The one that is blurred off to the right was a red bulb & the one in focus in the middle was blue. I think it looks cool like this. Enjoy & hope you all have a great weekend.

I also wanted to tell you all this. Linking that picture yesterday made me think of it. If you go over to my other blog via that link or in my blog roll…I started my picture taking love over there. Now, keep in mind it was before I met all of you great people & learned all the stuff I have so far from you. I didn’t know anything about shutter speed, aperture or anything really, so all of them were shot in the dreaded “auto” mode. Still might be some you like if you have time to look through them until I can get out & get some more cool shots for you. Just go to The Mindslam & click on “pictures” in the categories.

I Stole This One

Well, not really…just took it from my other blog. I posted it & a really old store back a while ago on my original blog The Mindslam. You can go check this one out in color over there by clicking Right Here. It was right down the street from our house & I tried like crazy to find info or history on it, but couldn’t. The addresses are so strange down there where we live. There is no telling how old this little gem was. I keep saying “was” because about 2 weeks after I took this shot, they tore it down….yep, there is nothing there now but the chimney. Hope you all enjoy this one.

Black N White Wednesdays

Today I am officially starting a weekly feature called “Black N White Wednesdays”…hence the title of the post. I have been thinking about doing this and just wasn’t sure what I wanted to do or what I wanted to call it. I thought of this title first because of the two “W” words & then Makena over at A Hectic World of Art also suggested it to me so I’m going with it. Each & every Wednesday I am gonna post black n white pictures. I will post some on other days to because I really like them, but you will for sure get one on Wednesday from here on out.

This first one for this little feature was taken a few weeks ago & I just changed it over to black n white last night to see if I liked it better. I think I do. This is what used to be an old school in Memphis…a long time ago. What it was last looked to be a place for troubled kids. Think it hasn’t been anything in a very long time. I bet it would make a great haunted house for Halloween huh? Enjoy.

Dirty Old Chain

The color version of this one was kinda cool because you could see rust on the bar to the left, but wanted to show you all the black n white. Enjoy.

Doing Some Raining

Just some rain going down the drain. Enjoy.

I would also like to Thank Jeremy over at A Boy With Shoes (Also in my blog roll) for giving me the “Liebster Blog Award”. I have learned a bunch from him & love his work. If you haven’t found him yet in my blog roll….go check him out…well worth your time.

Hanging Pot (black n white)

Ok, Ok…here is the black n white one too…which do you like better?
